RIIWHS204D - Work Safely at Heights Refresher

This course is designed to refresh and renew the skills and knowledge of participants who are required to work safely at heights in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. It includes identifying work requirements, work procedures and instructions, accessing and installing equipment, performing work at heights and cleaning up the work area.

The refresher course covers the following topics:

• Legislation
• Policy and procedures
• Safety systems and equipment
• Fall prevention measures and devices
• Fall arrest systems
• Ladder risk controls
• Equipment selection, inspection and maintenance
• Hazard identification, risk assessment and controls
• Handling and securing equipment and materials
• Emergency procedures

Upon successful completion of the course requirements,  a Statement of Attainment will be issued for:
