Description
This training is designed to give you a good understanding of the Lean Six Sigma philosophy, tools and techniques through workshops and practical exercise.It enables you to uncover tangible opportunities for application within your organization and guides you in developing a robust business case by quantifying the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
This training not only enables you to learn Lean Six Sigma core principles and concepts, it enables you to 'see' in the context of how these can can address critical business challenges and issues. It also shares some key tools which are useful in driving improvement within an organization.
The training also aims to give you an appreciation of issues and challenges surrounding the effective deployment of a Lean Six Sigma program and how it can complement the existing quality management system of an organization (i.e. ISO 9001).

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you are expected to be able to:- Describe Lean Six Sigma as a measure of performance, an improvement methodology and a management approach to building a culture of continual improvement
- Develop a Project Charter for an improvement project
- Identify areas of Cost of Poor Quality and estimate its value
- Determine how to get Voice of Customer (VOC) information
- Develop a Measurement Plan (including Measurement System Analysis)
- Calculate short-term and long-term Sigma performance
- Understand variation and its significance on quality
- Identify root causes
- Develop and implement ideas for improvement
- Develop control measures to sustain the gains
- Determine the relationship of Lean Six Sigma tools and approaches with ISO 9001 clauses
Audience
Officers, supervisors and managers involved in operations, quality control or quality assurance, business innovation or continuous improvement.
