DESCRIPTION
Consumers are becoming more and more concerned about food safety. From tainted milk to contaminated peanut butter, food scares and recalls have been ever-present over the past several years. Extended global supply chains and lack of adherence to global safety standards are partly to blame. As manufacturers and retailers make efforts to address deficiencies in their supply chains, and multiple safety standards and schemes are proposed and adopted, progress is being made to ensure global food safety.
FSSC 22000 contains a complete certification scheme for Food Safety Systems based on the food safety standard ISO 22000:2005 'Requirements for any organization in the food chain' and ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 Prerequisite programs on food safety for food manufacturing.
OBJECTIVES
Internal auditing course on FSSC 22000; ISO 22000:2005 integration with ISO/TS 22002-1:2009.
The introduction to ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 in conjunction with ISO 22000: 2005 standard is established to ensure good level of competence and implementation.
This internal auditing course with ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 is designed to train all current food safety internal auditors who are performing food safety system audits to be able to identify the gaps and the requirement of the pre-requisite programmes (PRPs) of an organization effectively.
ISO 22000: 2005 sets out specific food safety requirements for organisations in the food chain. ISO/TS 22002-1: 2009 is introduced with ISO 22000 standards to assist organization to implement the pre-requisite programmes (PRPs) effectively within the food industries. All food Industries can benefit on acquiring good knowledge of the full GMP requirements defined in the ISO/TS 22002-1: 2009.
