DESCRIPTION

Comprising a combination of lectures, case studies and workshops, this 3 days course is designed primarily to provide participants with a detailed understanding of the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 standard and the application of the standard to a laboratory. The standard provides framework for Quality Management System for the operation of laboratories.  The standard covers both the Quality Management system and the technical requirements of laboratories.

• Introduction to the standard ISO/IEC 17025: “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”
• Interpretation of the clauses in the standard ISO/IEC 17025
• Definition and Requirements of Internal Audits
• Internal Audit Structure

Upon completion of this course, participants will:

• Understand the underlying philosophy and the principle, concepts and requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 Standard

• Align laboratory work with requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard

• Plan and conduct an audit

• Report the audit

• Undertake audit follow-up activities
