PAS 223 PRP for Food Packaging Including Design

My Offerings

Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 223 provides guidelines to implement prerequisite programmes and design requirements for manufacturers dealing with the packaging of food products and beverages. This specification was developed to support management systems in the food industry and help manufacturers to comply with BS EN ISO 22000. PAS 223 sets out practical requirements for the design of food packaging too. By having the right safety measures in place, organisations can reduce and eliminate food safety risks, such as food poisoning and contamination.

Important: Only the softcopy of the course material will be distributed on the day of training. Thus participants are reminded to bring along their laptop for the duration of the training.

The programme aims to provide delegates with learning how to:

  • Recognize the need for greater control and transparency of packaging design and manufacturing processes
  • Describe what are the practical requirements or best practices to build a greater confidence in food and drink packaging systems
  • Underline cost savings through process efficiencies and streamlined assessments

Manufacturers of food packaging, manufacturers of food products, suppliers of food packaging, Health and safety officers, Environmental health officers and any interested party on PAS 223.
