Description
This course is designed to give you a solid understanding of how you can keep business activities moving forward in the event of any disruption, using the ISO 22301 or Business Continuity Management (BCM) standard.
Establishing an effective and comprehensive Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) based on the principles of ISO 22301, is essential for producing a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) that aids identification of critical activities, co-dependence areas and resources needed to support key products and services. An established BCMS enables you to know the impact of failure in any of these areas and allows you to plan strategic and tactical steps to prepare for the worst-case scenario.
Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)
- Understand the processes involved in establishing, implementing, operating and monitoring, reviewing and improving an BCMS as defined in ISO 22301
- Describe the purpose, content and interrelationship of ISO 22301
- Understand the purpose and requirements of ISO 22301 as a tool for the continual improvement of a BCMS
Audience
The training provides a thorough introduction relevant to all those involved in the development, implementation and management of a BCMS based on ISO 22301. If you plan to complete other training, such as Internal Auditor and the Lead Auditor Training, you will receive during this course the knowledge and understanding of ISO 22301 upon which to build auditing skills.
Participants can come from Executive Management, IT and BCP Practitioners, Business and Operation Executive, Quality, Human Resources.
