Description
This course is designed to provide a broad understanding of the Six Sigma improvement methodology.The Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) methodology is presented as business improvement approach that seeks to find and eliminate causes of mistakes or defects in business processes by focusing on outputs that are of critical importance to customers.

- Define Phase - identification of improvement opportunity
- Measure Phase - data collection
- Analyze Phase - root cause identification
- Improve Phase - variability reduction or cause elimination
- Control Phase - monitoring and sustaining of improvement
Objectives
This course will enable or equip participants to:
- Learn and apply the DMAIC process as a core component of a Six Sigma methodology
- Understand objectives of the 5 key phases that consist the DMAIC process
- Learn some of the tools appropriate in each of the 5 key phases of the DMAIC process.
Audience
This course is relevant to those involved in product design, engineering, quality, and operations personnel.Pre-requisite:
Knowledge in Problem-solving and basic Quality Control (QC) Tools are an advantage.
