Description
Developed by the Quality Management Centre of the VDA (Verband der deutschen Automobilindustrie E.V. the German trade association for the automotive industry), defines a process-based audit standard for evaluating and improving controls in an organization's new product introduction and manufacturing processes.
This course is designed for you to have a solid understanding of VDA 6.3 Process Audit and the methodology of process-based audits. It reflects the changes in 2010, when the standard was comprehensively restructured to reflect the changes to ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements in the automotive industry.

Although this course, does not give the qualification to undertake audits to VDA 6.3, it will explain the process on how you can become a qualified VDA 6.3 auditor.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you are expected to:- Describe the requirements of VDA 6.3:, particularly the process-audit approach and the methodology of process based auditing
- Understand the structure, content and scoring evaluation system of VDA 6.3.
Audience
The module is designed for people working in the automotive supply chain, including those working in design, engineering, purchasing, logistics, quality and manufacturing that do not have any experience related to undertaking audits. Experience of Quality Management Systems would be beneficial but not essential.Note: SGS shall provide only generic information and advice which are freely available in public domain.
