ISO 22000:2005 sets out specific food safety requirements for organisations in the food chain. One such requirement is that oganisations establish, implement and maintain pre-requisite programmes (PRP) to assist in controlling food safety hazards (ISO 22000:2005, Clause 7.2). ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 is intended to be used to support management systems designed to meet the requirements specified in ISO 22000:2005, and sets out the detailed requirements for those programmes. All required relevant procedures, records and internal audits shall cover these details to achieve certification to ISO 22000 standard including ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 which is intended to bring the ISO 22000 standard technical details to a level of detail that is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
ISO/TS 22002-1: 2009 is introduced with ISO 22000 standards to assist organization to implement the pre-requisite programmes (PRPs) effectively within the food industries. All food Industries can benefit on acquiring good knowledge of the full GMP requirements defined in the ISO/TS 22002-1: 2009.
ISO/TS 22002-1: 2009 is applicable to all organisations, regardless of size or complexity, as well as to all who are involved in the manufacturing step of the food chain and who wish to implement PRPs.
Participants will be introduced to the ISO/TS 22002-1: 2009 requirements in this training course and they will be able to enhance their current pre-requisite and hygiene programme.
