The purpose of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform an internal audit of a Health and Safety Management System based on ISO 45001:2018.
Objectives
The objective of this module is to equip participants with the skills to:
- Plan, conduct, report and follow up an internal audit of a Health and Safety management system based on ISO 45001 and in accordance with ISO 19011.
- Understand the role of an internal audit to maintain and improve the management system with reference to the PDCA cycle.
Learners will need to demonstrate acceptable performance in these areas in order to complete the Course successfully.
Audience
Before starting this Course, it is recommended that participants have prior knowledge of:
- Management systems and the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle
- The concepts and principles of Occupational Health and Safety management and the relationship between an organisation’s activities, products and services and Occupational Health and Safety risk
- The core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between top management responsibility, policy, objective, planning, implementation, measurement, review and continual improvement
- Commonly used Occupational Health and Safety management terms and definitions, as given in ISO 45001:2018
