The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to perform an internal audit of a management system based on the requirements ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 (or equivalent), and report on the effective implementation and maintenance of the management system in accordance with ISO 19011.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the principles and mechanisms for the integration of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management Systems.
- Appreciate the importance of the legislative and regulatory requirements for the business in structuring an integrated approach.
- Prepare, implement, report an internal audit of an integrated management system.
- Contribute to the development, improvement and integration of their organisation’s management system
OBJECTIVES
This interactive course is designed to provide a practical approach to the use of auditing as a tool to help achieve an integrated management system. It approaches the integration of management systems from a risk-based approach, encouraging participants to take the broadest possible view of the processes in their organisation and the related risks, opportunities and occupational risks that need to be identified, controlled and managed. It also considers the implications of a multi-standard certification and develops the basis for an integrated approach to management systems auditing.
AUDIENCE
Before starting this course, students are expected to have the following prior knowledge:
- Management systems
The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle
The core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between: the Context of the organization, Leadership, Planning, Support, Operation, Performance evaluation and Improvement.
