Description
The purpose of this course is to provide the learner with an understanding of the requirements the Food Safety Management (FSM) standard FSSC 22000. The Foundation for Food Safety Certification, supported by the Confederation of the Food and Drink Industries of the European Union (CIAA), has taken ownership of this new certification scheme and it is now benchmarked and recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
Objectives
This course covers:
- An overview of the purpose and requirements of FSSC 22000 and ISO/TS 22002-1
- How applying these can improve your business methods
- The purpose of a food safety management system (FSMS)
- The purpose, requirements and the certification process and how it aids the continual improvement of the FSMS.
Audience
Anyone involved in FSM of food manufacturers that process or manufacture animal products, perishable vegetal products, products with a long shelf life and (other) food ingredients like additives, vitamins and bio-cultures.
