The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to perform internal audits of social systems.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
  1. describe the fundamental purpose of a management system and explain the purpose, content and interrelationship of the ETI Base Code, local industry practice, the relevant legislative framework;
  2. describe the responsibilities of an internal auditor and describe the role of internal audit in the maintenance and improvement of social systems, in accordance with ISO 19011;
conduct and report an internal audit of a social system in part of an organisation in accordance with ISO 19011 and by interpreting the requirements of the ETI Base Code.


This course comprises lectures and workshop exercises. Participants are not expected to possess knowledge of social systems or the ETI Base Code before attending the course.
