Learn about the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 and how to plan for the implementation of the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) management system in your organisation.
This course consists of two separate eLearning modules:
- ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety – Introduction eLearning Course
- ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety – Implementation eLearning Course
Completion criteria: You will need to achieve a pass mark of 80% or more in the final assessment, to pass this course. You will then be able to download the course completion certificate. You have 12 months access to this course, effective from the date of purchase.
OBJECTIVES
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Prevent work related injury and ill health by identifying and controlling hazards, that will provide a safe and provide a healthy workplace
- Incorporate the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) model and risk-based thinking into the management system processes so that you can address risks and make the most of any opportunities
- Create a health and safety culture, where employees are encouraged to take an active role in their own OH&S
- Successfully plan and implement a management system based on an ISO standard
- Manage the implementation and the project team using project management principles and techniques
- Ensure changes to processes and procedures are communicated and everyone is trained so they can support and contribute to the management system objectives
- Complete an objective evaluation of your organisation’s current performance, to ensure the processes are in place and operating as intended
- Plan and prepare activities in readiness for the certification audit
AUDIENCE
The course is designed for experienced health and safety professionals who have an understanding of the management systems approach to improve OH&S.
PRIOR KNOWLEDGE
Before starting this course it is recommended that learners have the following prior knowledge:
- OH&S management principles and concepts to ensure continual improvement of health and safety performance and the OH&S
- Evaluating activities relating to products and services in order to establish and control risks and hazards associated with emergency situations and accidents
- Managing risks and hazards relating to workplace locations, people and activities where the organisation has control and influence over health and safety
- OH&S legislation and how legal compliance forms part of an OH&S management system
- Evaluating and controlling risks and hazards and identifying areas for improvement (e.g., risk assessments and method statements)
