This subject consists of 2 modules, which explore hazard identification, workplace rules, risk assessment and implementing the relevant control measures.

2. Conducting HIRA.

• HIRA is a proactive approach to Health and Safety management. By identifying hazards, evaluating the risks associated with those hazards and then implementing control measures, employees and the public can be protected and incidents avoided.  
• A risk-based approach is at the core of international standards and legislation.
