Description
The purpose of this course is to equip learners with the competence to plan how to implement ISO/IEC 17025:2017 within a test or calibration laboratory and develop a Laboratory Management System (LMS) meeting the requirements of the standard. The course comprises of a series of practical modules providing examples on how to implement various aspects of the system.
Objectives
UPON COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE, LEARNERS WILL BE ABLE TO:
Confirm knowledge of the key requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017; Learners will need to demonstrate acceptable performance in all of these areas in order to complete the course successfully.
Design and structure a formal Laboratory QMS meeting the requirements of the standard;
Perform risk assessments and develop quality objectives as required by the standard;
Understand management technical and support processes required to implement the system;
Plan the implementation steps required to gain accreditation.
Learners will need to demonstrate acceptable performance in these areas in order to complete the course successfully
Audience
PRIOR KNOWLEDGE
Before starting this course, learners are expected to have a reasonable working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and / or have attended the 1-day ISO/ IEC 17025:2017 introduction course or equivalent.
