Advanced Coordinator Course for BIM Manager

Description

It is CIC-accredited BIM Coordinator Top-up Course that aims at   training up BIM Manager with the capabilities to be eligible as a certified BIM Coordinator under the CIC Certification Scheme. After the completion of the course, participant should have acquired the core competencies of a certified BIM Coordinator under the Scheme, such as BIM Uses, Template Setup, CDE, and Model Audit.

Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to: 
•Understand BIM Concept, standard, software and relevant technologies.
•Perform major BIM Uses
•Coordinate BIM projects and multidisciplinary collaboration for execution of BIM projects 
•Execute and administer BIM design integration and common data environment of BIM documentation

Pre-requisite and admission requirement
Must be a CIC Certified BIM Manager

Course Structure
1. BIM Review - 2 hours
- Review of Revit Operation 
2. BIM Uses - 9 hours
- Design Reviews
- Spatial Coordination and 3D Construction Coordination
- Phase Planning (4D Modelling)
- Drawing Production directly from BIM software / platform
3. BIM Processes - 2 hours
- Create New Project Template based on BEP
- Create Central Model and Link Models
4. Data Management - 4 hours
•Data exchange of relevant BIM software 
•COBie Plug-ins
•Maintain accurate data set 
•Execute and administer the operation of CDE (Autodesk BIM 360 Docs)
5. Quality Assurance - 2 hours
- Model check and audit
- Audit reporting

Dr. HUANG is a CIC-Certified BIM Manager and has over 20 years of practical experience in engineering design/ construction management and management of BIM projects.

His valuable knowledge in BIM processes and workflow has built up the foundation of his 15 years experience of teaching BIM courses in tertiary institutions.

Assignment and end examination
 
CERTIFICATION
A certificate of completion will be awarded to the delegates with at least 75% of attendance and pass the end assessment
