With increasing public concern on global warming and social responsibility, the awareness of understanding an organization’s greenhouse gas inventory has been continuously raising.
To enhance the credibility of the greenhouse gas inventory and align it with national or international carbon program, it is crucial to apprehend and master the requirement on establishing greenhouse gas inventory.
ISO 14064-1 is the most widely adopted and recognized greenhouse gas quantification and reporting specification for organization level.
In this training, the essential concepts and key points on implementing the specification will be introduced and explained. After completing the course, trainees are expected to be able to grasp and apply ISO 14064-1 on establishing its own greenhouse gas inventory.
COURSE OUTLINE:
- Rationale of Greenhouse Gas emission accounting.
Describe the need of carbon accounting from the view of environmental impact, government & market requirement and social responsibility awareness enhancement;
- Greenhouse Gas introduction
Introduce various type of GHG, Montreal protocol, Kyoto protocol and Global Warming Potential concept;
- Greenhouse Gas quantification standard
Explain and highlight the key requirement of ISO14064-1, and Hong Kong Guideline; and
- Greenhouse Gas Inventory establishment procedure
Elaborate the carbon inventory establishment procedure and reporting requirement
