SGS CAMPUS ONLINE LEARNING PRIVACY STATEMENT
Welcome to SGS Campus Employee Online Learning Portal! It is important that you read, understand and comply with the following Privacy Statement.
I . Introduction

SGS is committed to the protection of your personal information. This Privacy Statement sets out the basis on which SGS collects and uses personal information about you as part of SGS Campus online courses to SGS’ employees. The platform used by SGS employees for e-Learning purposes is exclusively used by SGS employees and is different from the commercial SGS Campus platform used by SGS external customers.
 
This Privacy statement describes in detail who is responsible for the personal information that we collect about you, what personal information we collect, how we will use such personal information, who we may disclose it to and your rights and choices in relation to your personal information.

II. Which Data Do We Collect and how do we use it ?

Personal data is data that makes your identification possible. Personal data is required for the purposes of allowing you to register on line in order to create your account, to access your course and to allow SGS to administer the booked courses and be able to send you notifications and certificates. All these purposes are based on SGS legitimate interest. 

For the purposes of this privacy statement, Personal data includes specifically Your full name, email contact information, the business line or function to which you are working in and your user ID and password to connect to SGS Campus on line courses and the results which you have obtained during the course (completed, incomplete or failed).

SGS offers e-Learning content worldwide from a single platform. This e-learning platform is provided by the company Seertech Solutions PTY LTD, Level 7, Suite 701, 59 Goulburn Street, Haymarket, NSW 2000 Australia www.seertechsolutions.com. The European branch of Seertech Solutions is located at 200 Aldersgate Street, London EC1A 4HD, UK.  The data for iPlus e-learning for the region Europe, Middle East and Africa is hosted on cloud service provider Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Seertech is independently certified in accordance with TRUSTe https://privacy.truste.com/privacy-seal/Seertech-Solutions/validation?rid=d2b8673b-d834-482e-910a-3f642cee738f and also participates in the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and is listed there under https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TNsLAAW&status=Active. AWS is certified to a number of standards including ISO27001 and SOC2, more information can be found at https://aws.amazon.com/compliance/

In the course of logging into your account on SGS Campus, a cookie will be created to store your session ID. This session ID is encrypted, no personal information/login information are stored on cookies created on the platform.
 
All of the courses offered by SGS that you have successfully participated in will be managed in your personal SGS Campus account. The certificates earned are stored on the iPlus/AWS servers in the Dublin AWS region and can be retrieved at any time. In the event you wish to delete your personal account, please note that your certificate(s) and completion record(s) for all courses taken on the platform will also be deleted. 

III. What Happens To The Data Collected and to whom it is shared? 

Your SGS Campus E-Learning personal data will not be used for purposes other than those listed here. Your data will not be used to send you other topics or information material about SGS on line courses.
SGS companies passes on the personal data received from you online only in the following cases:
  
    1.	To share your data to your HR manager who is responsible for organizing the course and ensuring the follow up of the completion by each employee;

    2.	When it is necessary to transfer personal data to another SGS company in order to fulfill the legitimate purpose for which the information was provided, such legitimate purpose being, in the context of transfer to another SGS Affiliate to allow the owner of the on- line course to know who has completed the course;

    3.	When SGS has a legal obligation to disclose the data. This is the case when government institutions (e.g., law enforcement authorities) ask us for information or when we receive a judicial order to provide this information, or the provision of this information is required to justify or protect legal claims or to defend SGS against legal complaints. Naturally, we protect the confidentiality of your identity.

V. How Does SGS Protect Your Information? 

Your personal data provided to us will be secured using the appropriate technical and organizational measures in such a way that they are inaccessible by unauthorized third parties. Only authorized SGS employees will have access to your personal data.

VI. Your Rights 

You can exercise the following rights by using our on-line privacy request from available at: https://www.sgs.com/en/online-privacy-statement/privacy-request-form : 

      -	 receive information about the data stored at SGS that relates to you; 

      -	correct the data we have about you where it is incorrect or incomplete; 

      -	ask that your personal information be deleted in certain circumstances. For example (i) where your personal information is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise used; (ii) if you withdraw your consent and there is no other legal ground for which we rely on for the continued use of your personal information; (iii) if you object to the use of your personal information (as set out below); (iv) if we have used your personal information unlawfully; or (v) if your personal information needs to be erased to comply with a legal obligation; 

      -	to object to the use of your personal information in certain circumstances. For example (i) where you have grounds relating to your particular situation and we use your personal information for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party); and (ii) if you object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing purposes.

The employee can share his/her view on the course online and visible to all users of SGS Campus. This kind of quality assurance is in SGS’ legitimate interest and it benefits employees as well. If the employee does not want to disclose his/her name together with the course rating, he/she can stay anonymous. In any case, the employee’s name in conjunction with the rating is not used by SGS for any reason.

Changes to our Privacy Statement 
Any material changes to the privacy policy will be posted on this page. The updated Privacy statement will take effect as soon as it has been updated
